The Community portfolio organise the Teddy Bear Hospital, in which flinders students teach the children in the FMC Childcare about Sun Safety, Cough and Cold Hygiene, Hand Washing and how to not be afraid for the doctor! It is a lot of fun, a terrific way to unwind and learn how to communicate health knowledge to children, and the kids love it! These sessions are run throughout the year, but spots are limited, to keep your eyes out!
FMSS acknowledge the land that we meet and study on as being the traditional lands of the Kaurna (SA) and Larrakia (NT) people since time immemorial and that they never ceded sovereignty. We pay our respects to past, present and emerging Kaurna and Larrakia elders and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today. We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of all other Nations where Flinders students study and live.
