AND bb's lock this date in your diary: MED CAMP IS BEING HELD ON THE 2nd-4th MARCH. This was a sell-out event in 2017 and one not to be missed.
See you soon, MD1.
MedCamp is an integral part of welcoming new Flinders medical students, and is a big part of the strong and supportive culture through the challenging four years. The camp will provide you with a chance to get to know your peers in a safe and supportive space. We'll have great team-building activities like scavenger hunt and sports day. The camp is also a fantastic opportunity for learning about medical skills. There'll be four different workshops; suturing, emergency response, basic life support and vital signs. These sessions are all run by volunteer second-years, who also run the rest of the camp. We've invested a significant amount of time and effort into making MedCamp really special, because we know firsthand how much it has benefited us!
So this one's for you.
Welcome to MedCamp!
EVENTS AND OTHER SOCIETIES
There are many societies that run events all throughout the Med Calendar, including the Surgical Society (FUSS), Critical Care Society (FCCS), Rural Health Society (FURHS), Health and Human Rights Group (HHRG), and the General Practitioners Student Network (GPSN). All these societies will be running a lunch event so you will get the opportunity to meet the teams and sign up!
Get involved team, it will make your years studying medicine better!!
