With the help of the entire cohort, the community portfolio run two stalls for the cancer councils Daffodil Day in the public and private hospital. This occurs in August, and is a wonderful experience talking to the public about what the Cancer Council means to them. Keep your eye out in August and volunteer for a hour or two!
The FMSS Wright Evans ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Medball was a night to remember, with fabulous music, wonderful food and lollies, and even better company.
This year it was held at The Playford Hotel on North Terrace. Everyone truly dressed to impress and showed us how attractive the Flinders Medical cohort is.
From here everyone (including some of our favourite staff members) shuffled along to Zhivagos to continue the party. Shout out to our vice presidents, social officers and numerous friends who helped us in the lead up and on the day of Medball.

Mother’s and Father’s Day bake sale are run yearly with the whole cohorts support to raise money for local and national charities such as Share the Dignity, and Dad’s in Distress. Staff and students donate their time and baking skills to provide delicious home-made goods, and they sell out fast! The charities donated to change annually to increase awareness of the variety of wonderful charities doing amazing things.
