Flinders Medical Students' Society

Part of the role of the FMSS is to organise events which raise community spirit, as well as fundraising and increasing awareness for various charities throughout the year.

Our team operates in a variety of diverse settings, co–hosting events with other areas of FMSS such as social and scrubs week coordinators, and other Flinders University societies such as HHRG, FURHS and external societies such as Adelaide Medical Students’ Society (AMSS) and Flinders Medical Center (FMC) Foundation.

Annual events that the FMSS participate in include:

  • The World’s Greatest Shave (Leukaemia Foundation)
  • Daffodil Day (Cancer Council)
  • Pink Ribbon Day (Women’s Cancer – Cancer Council)
  • City to Bay (in support of CanTeen
  • Sports Week for Motor Neurone Disease
  • Movember (Men’s Cancer).

Also, throughout the year, the FMSS uses due diligence to decide whether we are involved on other charitable causes.
